Dumas Community Theater

Located in the former Dante's Department Store building, 102 South Main in Dumas, the Tanenbaum Theater is the home of the Dumas Area Arts Council. In 1979, the Dumas Community Theater was formed and began to offer locally produced plays and musicals for children and adults. Crowd favorites have been the summer musicals for Ding Dong Days, especially Oklahoma and Camelot. In 1991, the organization was renamed Dumas Area Arts Council and expanded into Dance, Visual Arts, Music, and the Humanities. Special performances by other groups such as Arkansas Arts Council touring programs and Shakespeare Festival of Arkansas are also featured. Memberships are available from $10 up.
